Plugsheds are vintage model railroad houses with an applied LED light. A plug is attached to the back or bottom of the house. When put into an electric plug the house is lightened up from the inside.

In nearly every train station in Germany you can find one – a model railroad. A miniature world behind glass: hilly landscapes (a popular subject) complete with villages and tunnels. The perfect way to pass the time when our train has a delay again or you are waiting to pick up somebody.

To most of us the train itself is of only little importance. What takes our breath away again and again are these tiny, perfect buildings and market squares, these villages with its just as tiny and perfect inhabitants; children with schoolbags, gentlemen with umbrellas, ladies with shopping bags. The more detailed, the more fascinating. After all this world at a glance has something incredibly reassuring.
